About Stuart

I have nearly 30 years’ experience in editorial, marketing and PR photography. My work has appeared in major newspapers, leading magazines and corporate websites.

I studied editorial and advertising photography at the Kent Institute of Art (now UCA) in the mid-90s and began freelancing for local newspapers. I worked as a photographer’s assistant across TV publicity, advertising shoots, Sunday newspaper supplements, celebrity and fashion magazines, and on picture desks.

By the late 90s and early 00s I was working for national newspapers. As the industry shifted with digital publishing, I moved into corporate work—trade and in-house publications, PR, corporate portraiture and design-led commissions for brochures, magazines and websites—and I’ve been focused on that ever since.
